Always wash your hands before handling your new piercings. Outside of cleaning, do not touch or rotate your healing piercings.
Clean piercings front and back, twice per day, for the first 6 weeks. Use only warm water and sterile saline (NaCl 0.9%) to clean your piercings. If you choose to use a qtip or cotton round during cleaning, be careful not to snag the jewelry or leave behind fibers.
Keep hair, makeup, sweat, and soap off away from your piercings. If contact happens, be sure to rinse the area and clean with saline. Avoid sleeping on your piercing. Using a piercing pillow or travel pillow may help as you adjust your sleeping arrangement.
Wear your starter jewelry until at least your 6 week follow up. After 6 weeks you may change out your jewelry, make sure to only replace with high grade jewelry to avoid irritating the piercing. Keep jewelry in your piercing channel at all times for the first 6 months.
Swelling, soreness, light bruising, and redness are to be expected following the piercing service. Your preferred anti-inflammatory and ice are wonderful for the days following your service. If pain persists, or concerns arise, consult your physician. Everybody heals differently, patience is key when healing new piercings.
Always wash your hands prior to working with your new tattoo. Try not to touch, itch, or scratch your new tattoo, this could impact your final result when healing.
If you are wrapped with a “second skin” bandage following your service: Leave the bandage in place for at least two days, and no more than five days. Remove using warm water, grab a corner and pull the bandage in the opposite direction of the tattoo. Think “pulling a command strip” not “off like a Band-Aid”. Begin cleaning and ointment process following the removal of the bandage.
Clean using an antibacterial soap, Dial Gold is recommended.
Apply a layer of barrier cream, starting after your first cleanse. Thin layers, several times per day is recommended over a single thick layer. Recommended barrier creams are Hustle Butter and Mad Rabit Repair.
Refrain from submerging the tattoo in pools, tubs, or bodies of water for at least 3 weeks. Swelling, soreness, and redness are to be expected following the tattoo service. If pain persists or concerns arise, contact your physician. Everybody heals differently, patience is key for optimal healing.
